This Year I've learned that Nano

Isn't really all that it's cracked up to be. And isn't for everyone; some folks just can't do 50-60 thousand words in 30 days without feeling stressed to a point where they feel their work is crapped up, or they don't feel it. You should be able to feel your words, your story. If you can't then there is a problem. So with that being said I'm not going to post a daily word count, I'm just going to write and if by the end of the month I should happen to make it to 50/60 words Kudos. And if not Still Kudos. Because you know what it's not the quantity it's all about the quality of the work. And just because I'm not doing a daily word count doesn't mean that I'm giving up. Like I said if I make it to the mark it's good and if not it's still good. On a book progress report. I have Chapter 2 done now beginning Chapter 3. It's going along pretty smoothly, I've added an element that I didn't have in previous story. That seem to make it flow better. This is going to be an interesting ride writing this. I can not wait until you can all read it. It's rather exciting how it is progressing in the depth.

First few days of Nano

Except for the first day. My daily word count puny.lol 142 words today. But at least I made it to 5 thousand, So maybe I'll make my goal of 10,000 by Sunday night. One could hope. LOL And even if I don't make it to 50-60 thousand I'm still good. As long as my story sounds better than previous times.

Nano Psyched

I did a little better today. 775 words. bringing total to 4,173 I know it could me much more. IT will soon. I'm gettin into that mojo I had when I did it last year. heheh So this weekend it could be much much higher. The only thing I can't seem to get up is the donation thingy. But at least other people's donation thon is doing good. Which means maybe I can do this Nano thing next year. If not as much donation maybe not. eh.

Only did alittle writing

With this nice rainy day seems like I can't get into the mood to write.lol I did manage to write about 200 words last night after the busy day we had. Don't worry folks you'll be seeing that word count skyrocket by weekend's end.

Nano Has Begun.

The National Write-a-thon has begun. Today's first day word count is 2,491 I was hopefully it was 3 thousand. I can say I did better this year at the beginning than last year, I had only thousand first day. I'm hopefully I can make it big again this year. Though I'm not holding my breath we'll have to wait and see what the month holds on and off line.lol When ever I hold myself to something I usually end up abandoning it due to something that has suddenly happened. I have chapter two started it should be completed by the end of this week. I'm really hoping that I've done better this time around. I really want to get this right so that you'll be able to enjoy the stories.

National Writing Marathon Month

It's that time again almost, Where we bunker down in front of our computers, laptops, papers and ink. For an entire month with a bag of chocolate, and a large pot of coffee writing like wild fiend. The goal 60,000 words in thirty days the prize pride, a free print of your book, and a certificate with your name, name of the book and when you did it.. plus a program. But, I'm happy with the certificate.lol Man last year was wild it was my first year and I admit I was nervous about it. Could I actually pull off 60 thousand words in thirty days. Or would I be hanging my head in utter shame. Well not only did I make it I made over what I was supposed to. 90 thousand words. Was it a fluke Yes I actually I had actually made it only to 70 thousand words. But heck if I didn't make it at all. I believe it was either about 4:30 or 5 pm or maybe it was 6 I dunno but It was the final day, The Final Day of the competition. and I managed to get in with in a few hours. When it came up those numbers I could not believe it,. I about fell over in shock turned around and mom knew something. I tell you she was quiet happy that I had managed to do it. I can tell you that there is no better feeling than winning Nano. Even if you type gibberish.lol If you can make it to the end of it with 70 to 90 thousand words you've done pretty dang good. This year I'm going to use Autumn house to help me on Nano. And I'm doing the Donate thing first time ever. I hope I can make it to my goal of 50 bucks.
